I'm on the Radio!
Two months ago I received an anonymous email that instructed me to call a number within four hours to be interviewed about my book on WTOP 103.5 FM, a popular news station in the DC area. I called, assuming it was spam or the killer from Scream or I Know What You Did Last Summer, and was interviewed on the spot for ten minutes by a nice woman who is likely not a murderer.
The interview was supposed to air the day after Christmas, between midnight and noon. There was a small snowstorm that day, and every time I tuned in I only heard weather coverage, so I assumed my segment got the boot. And then, close to noon, my friend, Nigel, called me.
"I was listening to the radio and heard a guy that sounded like you," he said. "The he started talking about your book, and it was you!"
Two more Facebook posts confirmed it: I was heard on the radio by thousands of people. Check out my two short segments—ten minutes worth of content slashed to about six words.
